Otterflow supports LaTeX writing through its local compilation capability and LaTeX project workflow. Use it to keep source, PDF output, and AI-assisted edits close together.

What it is

The LaTeX capability downloads and starts the local components needed for compilation. Once available, you can open a project, work with its source, ask AI for help, and inspect the compiled result.

Enable local compilation

  1. Open Settings → Capability management.
  2. Enable the LaTeX capability.
  3. Allow the first-time component download and startup to finish.
  4. Check the displayed status before starting a project.

Use AI with LaTeX

Ask AI to adjust LaTeX structure, rewrite content, improve formatting, or help investigate compilation errors. Give it the relevant file or selected source so the request has the right context.

Locate source and PDF

The project workflow makes it easier to move between source and rendered output. Use the available positioning or navigation controls to compare the relevant location in source with the related area of the PDF.

Compilation notifications

Otterflow can notify you when compilation succeeds or fails. The behavior is controlled by the Compilation status notification setting in General, notifications, proxy, and appearance.
