Every file in a workspace folder appears in Otterflow’s file tree. Use it to create and organize material, copy paths, open files in other applications, preview images, or add a file to the current AI conversation.

File-tree basics

Right-click in the file tree or use its controls to:
  • create a file or subfolder;
  • refresh after files change outside Otterflow; and
  • rename a file or directory.
An empty directory is labeled Empty folder.

Copy paths

  • Copy path copies the full absolute path on disk, useful for the operating system, terminal, or another app.
  • Copy project path copies the path relative to the current workspace, which is easier to share and remains meaningful if the workspace is moved.

Add a file to AI

Right-click a file and choose Add to current conversation when you want AI to read it as context. This is useful for asking AI to continue a draft, review a source, or revise existing writing based on a specific document.

Open in the system

Use Open or Open with default application to hand a file to its normal system app. Use Show in folder to reveal the containing folder. On macOS, this is shown as Reveal in Finder.

Image preview

Open image files in the built-in preview. Zoom in, zoom out, or reset zoom to inspect a figure or check a visual asset.
